Manufacturing

We offer in-house electronics manufacturing providing a full turnkey service including purchasing, PCB assembly, program, test and box build. We also have our own internal quality management platform which allows us to track every PCBA through the manufacturing process. This uses a unique identifier and ensures that every PCBA that is shipped complies with our high quality standards.

Electronics manufacturing services offered include:

PCB Assembly

The heart of our factory in Melbourne is an automated SMT line. This allows us to cost effectively assemble low to medium volume products in Australia. Our setup currently includes:

  • A Semi-Automatic Solder Paste Stencil Printer
  • An SMT Pick and Place Machine
  • An SMT Reflow Oven

We also have high quality soldering irons and microscopes for hand soldering of the smallest passives all the way to large through-hole components.

Program and Test

After PCB assembly we can program and test boards to help ensure that every product that you ship is fully functional before it goes out the door. For low volume products testing is typically a very manual process that involve plugging connectors in and manually probing parts of the circuit to ensure they are performing correctly. For higher volumes the testing process can be simplified and made more efficient by designing automated test equipment (ATE). An ATE can perform a full and thorough test of the product simply by placing the PCBA in a jig and pressing a button.

Box Build

Box build is the final phase of electronics manufacturing that brings together all of the components that make up the product and can also be referred to as product assembly. This involves things such as attaching the PCBA to the enclosure, adding wiring looms and attaching labels before placing the fully assembled product in its final packaging.

3D Printing and Laser Cutting

We can rapidly prototype mechanical parts such as enclosures using our in-house 3D printer and laser cutter. This can also be used for low volume manufacturing where tooling costs for injection moulding or CNC machining are not justifiable due to the high setup costs.
