Ray Keefe: IEEE Senior Life Member

IEEE Senior Life Member

I recently received a letter from IEEE informing me that I had been awarded an IEEE Life Senior Member in recognition of my many years of loyal membership and support of activities of IEEE. And included this certificate. This was not something I was expecting and so a very nice surprise.

The effective date is 2026 because IEEE operate on calendar years. This membership grade is only achieved by 7.8% of IEEE members. This follows on from being elected to the grade of IEEE Senior Member in 2011.

So what does this mean?

From one perspective it means I’ve been consistently involved for a long time. But I’m also highly supportive and aligned with the IEEE position of Advancing Technology for Humanity and that this is an international organisation supporting people across the globe.
